1990 - The first ATP TOUR World Championship
celebrates its premiere in Frankfurt/Main
In 1990, the first ATP TOUR World Championship, the former Masters in New York, celebrates its premiere at the Festhalle Frankfurt/Main. As part of the comprehensive marketing cooperation between IMG and the newly established ATP Tour, together with my team at IMG Germany, I was in charge of the overall project management.
The event in Frankfurt’s traditional Festhalle has remained to be seen as one of the finest Tennis events ever and at first was to stay in Frankfurt for three years.
